JUNE 24-28, 2008: TEAM CAMP I (Competition and Instruction)
Team Camp I will be our more competitive Team camp this year with
two team “pools”, “pool A” and “pool
B”. Pool “A” will
be limited by invitation and qualification only to ten teams. This
is for competitive teams with proven strength from several states.
These teams will wrestle each other in a round-robin format to determine
a winner. Pool “B” will be open to all other teams on
a first come, first serve basis. Teams are guaranteed at least ten
duals and an individual team tournament in addition to instructional
and technique break-out sessions with our staff and clinicians.

JUNE 29-July 3, 2008:TEAM CAMP II (Technique and Instruction)
This team camp is designed for coaches who have younger teams they
feel would be best served by more instruction instead of competitive
dual meets. We will organize teaching sessions so that more experienced
wrestlers are separated from beginners. Beginners will be taught
the basics while more experienced wrestlers will receive higher
level instruction including "live drilling" sessions.
There will be no dual meets however, there will be an individual
tournament at the end of
camp. Your team WILL leave this camp well informed and trained.

JUNE 29-July 3, 2008: INDIVIDUAL TECHNIQUE CAMP
This camp is for individuals of all age groups and levels of experience.
Campers will be put into groups the first day from beginner to advanced
and teaching sessions will be organized targeting each group's needs.
Beginners will be taught the basics of the sport while more advanced
wrestlers will learn higher level techniques and proper drilling.
The highest level group will learn how to drill by and with UNC
wrestlers. Although live wrestling will be limited, there will be
a tournament the last day of camp for everyone.
*
JUNE 27-July 3, 2008: INDIVIDUAL INTENSIVE TRAINING CAMP
This camp is NOT for beginners. It is an intensive seven-day camp
involving strenuous workouts and higher level technique and drilling.
Campers should come in shape and expect to work hard. This camp
is designed for the prospective college wrestler preparing for a
collegiate wrestling career. Sessions will simulate a typical college
wrestling practice and Carolina wrestlers will be present to drill
and wrestle as well as instruct campers.
*
JUNE 29-July 3, 2008:YOUTH AND MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMP (INDIVIDUAL
AND TEAM)
This camp is for younger/beginner campers. Campers will be taught
wrestling basics and introduced to the sport. There will be very
little competitive wrestling and an emphasis on learning the basics
of the sport.
*
JUNE 29-July 3, 2008:HEAVYWEIGHT CAMP.....BACK BY DEMAND!
4x All-American Justin Harty is back by demand to work with heavyweights
who desire to attain the “right attitude” and acquire
the technique necessary to be successful in the sport. Coach Harty
will teach heavyweight basics as well as higher level “big
guy” technique and attitude.

JULY 5-9, 2008: TEAM CAMP III (Competition and Instruction)
Team Camp III is a combination technique/competition camp for teams
only. Teams are guaranteed at least ten dual meets against other
teams. All other sessions will be for technique instruction by our
clinicians. Teams will be admitted on a first come, first served
basis and we intend to limit attendance to a maximum of 20 teams.
Carolina team
camps are different than most other summer team camp programs in
that we will drill and condition after most sessions. Teams are
expected to come in shape and be prepared to work. Our goal is to
demonstrate the degree of commitment and discipline required in
this sport. Your team will leave camp ready for a break! Although
we want your team to have fun and a good experience, this is not
a vacation - they are here to compete and to learn.
